Some people have lived under the influence, control, and covering of certain structures, patterns, and strategies for so long that they cannot tell the difference between what is truly them and what has been shaping them.
That is why deliverance is not only about casting something out. It is also about exposing what a person has come into agreement with.
Some patterns stay so long they start talking like you.
They start reacting like you.
They start making decisions for you.
They become so familiar that you call them personality when they are really bondage.
This is why agreement must be broken.
You have to break agreement with the flesh.
You have to break agreement with old coping mechanisms.
You have to break agreement with cycles that have ruled your responses.
You have to break agreement with anything that keeps pulling you back into the same pit every time life gets hard.
Some people do not run to God when pressure comes.
They run to food.
They run to people.
They run to lust.
They run to control.
They run to anger.
They run to depression.
They run to anything that gives the illusion of comfort.
But Father is exposing the structure.
Why?
Because what has become normal to you may still be out of order before Him.
The goal is not just behavior modification.
The goal is deliverance through truth, repentance, and broken agreement.
Romans 6 teaches us that the old man has to die.
Romans 8 teaches us that we are no longer debtors to the flesh.
Ephesians 4 teaches us to put off the old man.
Ephesians 5 teaches us to walk in wisdom.
Ephesians 6 teaches us to stand in armor.
Deliverance is not fantasy.
Deliverance is not performance.
Deliverance is not just a moment at the altar.
Deliverance is when the truth of God exposes what has been ruling you, and you finally say:
I break agreement with this.
I will not keep calling this my personality.
I will not keep calling this my comfort.
I will not keep calling this my normal.
I choose the will of God over what my flesh has learned to depend on.
Some things have been under the influence, rule, and covering of darkness for so long that only the light of God can show you where it ends and where you begin.
But once the light comes, agreement must break.
And when agreement breaks, the structure starts losing its place.
